Short, because a rental site should not need a lawyer to read it.

We are not a broker
NiyamGhar is a listing and matching website. We do not hold keys, show houses, negotiate rent, draft agreements, collect deposits or represent either side. We take 0% of your rent, now and later. Whatever you agree with the other party is between the two of you.
Listings are written by owners, not by us
Every home, rent, photo and house rule on this site is entered by the person listing it. We do not inspect homes and we do not verify ownership. Treat a listing as a starting point, not a guarantee. Visit the property, meet the owner, check documents, and satisfy yourself before you pay anyone anything.
If a listing turns out to be wrong, stale, or not a real home, tell us and we will take it down.
What you may not put on this site
House rules on NiyamGhar are about the property and the household only. You may say a kitchen is vegetarian, that pets are not allowed, or that the home suits a family. You may not mention caste, religion, community, or use language as a stand-in for any of them, anywhere, including in free-text notes and descriptions. We remove listings that do, and we may close the account.
Also not allowed: homes you do not own or have no authority to let, contact details in the description to route around the site, and using another person’s enquiry details for anything other than answering that enquiry.
Enquiries and phone numbers
When a seeker enquires, their number is shared with that one owner for that one home. Owners: use it to answer that enquiry, nothing else. Do not add it to a marketing list and do not pass it on. Doing so breaks these terms and, depending on what you do with it, Indian law.
Money
The owner plan is ₹2,103 per home per year. Tenants pay nothing.
During the founding window nothing is charged. The plan is recorded against your listing so we both know what it is worth, but there is no payment gateway on this site, no card is stored, and no bill is scheduled. If that ever changes we will tell every existing owner first and you will be free to decline and take your listing down. Nothing will be charged to you by surprise.
Availability
This is a young site run by a small team. Things may break and we may change how it works. We do not promise it will always be up, and we are not liable for a home you did not get, a tenant you did not find, or a visit that did not work out.
Closing your account
You can delete a listing or an enquiry from your dashboard at any time. To close your account entirely, write to us and we will delete it and what we hold with it. See the privacy page.
