What we hold, and what we will never ask.

Written in plain language because you should be able to read it in five minutes and know exactly where you stand.

The short version

We collect the minimum needed to let an owner and a seeker find each other: who you are, how to reach you, and what kind of home you are looking for. Your mobile number goes to one owner, for one home, only when you choose to enquire. We do not sell it, we do not rent it, and we do not use it to market anything to you.

What we never collect

We do not ask your caste, religion, community, or the language you speak, and we never will. These are not fields in this product. There is no dropdown for them, no column in our database, and no filter. House rules on NiyamGhar are about the property and the household only, such as whether a kitchen is set up for vegetarian cooking or whether pets are allowed.

What we do collect

WhatWhyHow long
Your name, email and profile pictureFrom Google when you sign in, so we know it is you next timeUntil you ask us to delete your account
Your mobile numberOnly when you send an enquiry, so the owner can call you backWith that enquiry, until you delete it
Homes you list, and their house rulesTo show your home to seekers it actually suitsUntil you delete the listing
Homes you saveSo your saved list is there when you returnUntil you unsave them
Basic security logsTo stop abuse of the sign-in and enquiry formsA few days, then deleted

The household details you pick when searching, such as family or vegetarian kitchen, are used to filter the results on that search. They are not stored as a profile of you.

Who sees your details

When you enquire about a home, the owner of that one home sees the name, number and message you sent. Nobody else does. We do not publish your number on any page, we do not pass it to other owners, and we do not share it with brokers, agents or advertisers.

We use Google for sign-in, Supabase for our database, and Vercel for hosting. They process data on our behalf so the site can work. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.

Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Write to the address below and we will act within a reasonable time. You can delete a listing or an enquiry yourself at any time from your dashboard.

Grievances

If something here is wrong, or a listing on NiyamGhar contains material it should not, write to hello@niyamghar.com or call 97402 00860. We aim to acknowledge within 24 hours and resolve within 15 days. If a listing carries caste, religious or community language, report it and we will remove it.

Changes

If we change this page in a way that matters, we will say so at the top and change the date. niyamghar.com is operated from Karnataka, India, and Indian law applies.
